Please help the Homeless

The Interfaith Council of South County volunteered to help a shelter in Providence. This was a temporary shelter and a short-term remedy for homeless people during the cold winter months. We were asked by the Dire Emergency Fund (operated through the Office of Social Ministry of the Diocese of Providence) to help with some food and toiletries. In February of 2004, eight families (9 adults and 16 children) were housed in the shelter.

Donations needed for the homeless shelter in Providence

At a past meeting, they created a schedule to deliver collected donations.
Our Week was February 8, 2004. While the date is past, the need goes on. Please speak with Rev. Adler if you have items to donate. You can also help by contacting the Amos House directly.
