The Gift of a Holy Ark
We received the gift of a Holy Ark from Temple B'Nai Israel in New Britain,
CT. We are saddened to learn that most of their congregants have moved out of
their area and they must sell their building. We are glad that we will be able
to use their Ark as the centerpiece of our new sanctuary. The Ark is adorned
with the phrase, "Remember before whom you stand", the 10 commandments and other
symbols. In addition to the Ark, they gave us lecterns, a reading table, a
tallit rack and one of the greatest gifts, a Torah.
The Ark has been dismantled and is now in storage and will be placed in the
front of our new sanctuary when it is built. Click on each of the pictures below
